LCD Video Projector (Includes HDMI Cable & Extra Bulb) Great for DVD, Wii, XBox, Playstation July 22, 2010 Saleh Please be careful and do not be Cheated by the poor and cheep offer for this projector (LCD Video Projector (Includes HDMI Cable & Extra Bulb) Great for DVD, Wii, XBox, Playstation (Includes HDMI Cable & Extra Bulb) Great for DVD, Wii, XBox, Playstation ) , the picture very bad even in the dark.
It is really bad and you will not get any chance to return it back because the seller will ignore you and your Emails if you want to return it back.
great deal June 10, 2010 Q. dan (WestByGodVa) if you're not worried about warranty and product support, you cant go wrong for this price. Works great, solid hardware, good projection picture (up to 6ft wide) and acceptable sound. great for gaming. Dont much about the manufacturer, seems like a small asian knock off company.
Great Value June 8, 2010 J. Petersen (Fresno, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This projector is really a fantastic value. I don't watch much TV, but after getting Netflix I watch a lot of movies. I was looking at either spending $500 on a decent TV, or a projector. So glad I found this one. Not only is it dirt cheap (for a projector), but it seems to be good quality. The picture is good, the construction looks decent, and it makes movie nights so much more fun. Watching a movie, even on a big screen TV, just isn't the same as the feel of the projector. And the included DTV tuner makes it awesome for watching the big game. The internal speakers are nothing amazing, but satisfactory when taking it on-the-go.
Things I would have liked to see: Adjustable "feet" for shooting the picture higher or lower (the projector has keystone adjustment to accommodate), and zoom feature for changing the projected picture size without having to keep changing the distance between the projector and screen. Normally this would warrant a 4 star, but for the price of this projector it keeps it's 5th. You are getting way more projector than you pay for. This could easily sell for $500-$700 in my experience. And that's not including the extra bulb (which certainly sweetens the deal)!
All in all, I highly recommend it. It will work just fine for 90% of people out there. Keep in mind you must have a room that you can keep pretty dim. It doesn't need to be pitch black, just dim. But as always, the darker the better. The picture is of good enough quality that a screen is not necessary if you have a smooth white wall, but of course a screen is going to increase picture quality and I would highly recommend upgrading to one at some point, even if not right away.
Now, if you are constructing a super serious home theater - permanent big screen, rows of chairs, popcorn machine, etc - then yeah, drop the money and get a $1k+ projector. But if you just want a decent home theater - surround sound, lights dimmed, on the couch with the family - I'm convinced this will meet and surpass your expectations.
you get what you pay for! May 13, 2010 W. Ross (Sherman Oaks, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was a purchase that im happy with but not totally amazed .....this is a 720p projector its good but i would only suggest this if you just plan to use for mainly movies and tv i put in my Xbox 360 to hdmi and it was good but not amazed but it did improve my gaming experience abit i do wish it supported a higher quality ......if i can do this purchase again i would spend alittle extra for 1080p or get something DLP any questions leave a comment
Projected images are very dull March 11, 2010 Clyde E. Jeffcoat Jr. (Austin, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This item is functional, but fails to project well--the light isn't bright enough to project a good color image. Also, the user instructions written in English are not very literate, extremely difficult to follow.
