3M, Amazon and Tiger Direct Acting Unethically December 21, 2009 Paul A. Schumann Jr. (Austin, Texas USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
In early August, 2009, my wife bought me a 3M MPR0110 Micro Professional Projector for $205.98. I returned it to Amazon almost immediately for the following reasons:
1. I tried to get it to work with two different laptops and could never get them to recognize the device.
2. After trying the above, both computers crashed with the message that they had suffered a serious error.
3. The only thing I could get to work was the 3M logo and it was so dim that it could only be seen in a completely darkened room.
4. 3M's advertising about the brightness and clarity of the image is completely misleading. I would have never purchased the device if Amazon and 3M's advertising had been honest.
After a few weeks, Amazon returned the device to me stating that returns had to be handled though Tiger Direct.
I called Tiger Direct and found that the warranty time for retuned had passed. Hover, after my serious objections and a recital of the sequence of events, they agree to take the device back and refund my money, but that I would have to pay the shipping ($11.80). I agree to that and sent it back via USPS Priority Mail insured for $200 on 9/18/09. Tiger Direct gave me a return authorization number which I placed on the package.
The amount of purchase was never credited to my wife's credit card.
I have made multiple telephone calls to Tiger direct, each time I've been given a different story about what the money was never returned, including twice being told that the refund would have to come from Amazon as they were the ones that charged the credit card.
I have also sent three e-mails to Amazon and got no response.
Love it!!! November 8, 2009 Thomas Hawes (TX, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have owned this projector for about 3 months now and absolutely LOVE it!!!! For starters look at the price! You cant touch a toy/kids projector much less professional projector for that kind of $$$! NO its NOT the worlds brightest but to be honest NONE of these Pico/Mini projectors are, when compared to large office or home theater projectors, but its bright enough to have an image in the light that is fine for a small group presentation, and in a darkened room you can enjoy an image over 6 or 7 foot high. Lets also compare the size, weight and and the price, compared to one of those LARGE projectors, NO comparison!!! Also consider of all the Pico projectors on the market this is one of the FEW that actually even works with a computer that has VGA output! I use mine several times a week, occasionally for business or work related presentations (once agin keep the group reasonably small and preferably in a slightly darkened room (definitely works better then having everyone crowd around my laptop screen! The rest of the time I use it to watch movies on a 6 plus foot screen in a darkened room, and enjoy an inexpensive make shift home theater experience. As long as you manage your expectations, don't compare it to large projectors which are MUCH heavier, bigger and more expensive I think you will LOVE this little gem as i do!!! ENJOY!!!
Great product for the price. October 15, 2009 Justin Lee Wendorf 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the price I could not have asked for more. The light is a little dim, but a dark enough room will fix that. I think it produces great quality when placed on a tripod. The only thing that i'm unpleased with is the connector cord is only 5", which means you will need to buy an extension for it.

In comparison to the larger projectors, the performance of this Micro Projector is phenomenal. Love the fact how small and portable it is. I use it both in my professional and home life.
