| Customer Reviews: Great buy for the price, easy to use, nice features August 22, 2008 Tony J. Vrolyk (Rockford, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased to of these at my company, one to mount upside down on the ceiling and the other for portable use. That way if one dies for some reason we can use the other.
On the whole it does what it advertises so I won't go into the specs, but here are the things that I particularly like:
> Not too heavy
> The power and video cables come with nice velcro ties for wrapping them up
> Comes with a decent case. Just enough room for the essentials but not much else
> Nice and bright even with the lights on
> Good color, plus several color adjustments so if you are shooting against a wall painted something other than white you can still get a correctly colored picture.
> Picture does not shoot straight out the lens but actually at an angle up. So even without using the foot (or a book) you get a square picture above the height of the table it is shooting from
> Buttons on top are convenient and easy to use
> In particular the keystone buttons are right on top so you can adjust keystoning without having to dig through a menu
> Allows a second VGA input for a second Computer
> VGA out for a monitor
> Optional Remote Commander has laser, mouse/PowerPoint control and is backlit (looks like a Christmas Tree!)
> The main video connection and cable input is an M1-DA* to VGA/USB.
> User-replaceable lamp easily accessed from the bottom
My (mostly minor) dislikes include:
> Lens cap fits nice but the rubber strap that holds it to the projector is a bit hoaky and I don't expect it to last long
> The standard remote is mostly useless. All it controls are the basic projector settings and nothing else. In most cases you set this up before your presentation and can do it right at the projector without the remote. At least built in laser would be nice
> The button that releases the foot for height adjustments requires significant pressure to release the foot
*M1-DA looks kind of like DVI but isn't exactly the same. It is used on projectors and allows a single cable connection for both VGA and USB for when you want to use their Remote Commander. Other infrared remotes might also work through it but I haven't tested any.
Customer Service Problems April 4, 2008 Ag-land Fs (Peoria, IL) My company pruchased this unit 2 months ago. During a Board presentation the projector went down. We determined that it was a bad bulb and that I would get a new one. At first i thought Infocus had great customer service until i was told continuously that I would have a bulb shipped "next week". I heard this for two months, calling twice a week. Finally, i asked to talk to the manager when they told me the bulbs were still not in. Miraciously they came up with one. What are the odds of that????? I was getting the run-around. Very suprised by this. I thought they were a reputable company.

I received my projector in good working order. It was shipped in a reasonable amount of time. We are satisfied with the purchase.
