Upon purchasing the first replacement lamp for our Sampsung 61" rear projection TV, I could not believe how easy they made it to replace the bulb. The replacement bulb was very well packaged and even came with a postage paid recycling carton to ship the failed lamp back to the manufacturer. I also took the time to take off the entire rear cover from the TV to carefully dust all exposed electronic components. Replacing the bulb and cleaning only took 20 minutes. You'll barely need 5 minutes if you are only replacing the lamp.
The only suggestion I have for anyone interested: Go ahead and purchase at least 2 replacement bulbs so that the next time the lamp fails in your TV set, you will not have to wait for your replacement bulb to get there.

I bought this to replace my 3 year old bulb in a 61" Samsung DLP television. It already had over 7k hours and was starting to look rather dim. After shopping around I found this to be the best price and had the most accurate description of what was being sold.
Installation is very easy and anybody that can turn a screw driver should be able to install this in about 5 minutes if you take your time. This includes both the bulb and housing, so other than 2-3 screws, there isn't a whole lot involved in replacing it.
Everything works and functioned as described. If you need more help, just search Youtube for videos that walk you through the easy install process. As for the bulb/housing, I couldn't ask for more. It made my TV look like it did when it was brand new! It's like buying a new TV, but a lot less expensive. :)
