Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The NEC MultiSync LT100 certainly has more than enough power to deliver the detail and brilliant images your hard worked presentations deserve. What's even better, though, is the LT100's powerful 1000 ANSI lumens. That's enough to display bright, clear images, even with the room lights on during your presentation. That allows your audience the opportunity to take notes or follow along on hand-outs or your other presentation materials. The MultiSync LT100 is easy to set-up and use. It is plug and play compatible, which means no-hassle installation. Simply connect the projector to your computer with the included cables, and you're ready to show your stuff. An included, full-featured wireless remote control allows you the freedom to move about while displaying your presentation, ensuring the emphasis remains on the presentation and not the presenter. Other remote control functions include computer mouse control, laser pointer, source selection, volume, picture magnification, position, picture freeze, and picture mute. The optional 4MB PC card Viewer kit allows you to start your presentation even when the PC is not available on the site. No computer, no cables, no problem - just save your presentation on the card, insert the card into your projector, and begin the presentation. With power that won't weigh you down, the LT100 is perfect for anyone presentation professional who spends most of their time on the road.

5 out of 5 stars "The best XGA projector ever built!"   July 30, 2008

That's a pretty broad statement. But in terms of durability and longevity, the build-quality of the LT100 is unsurpassed to anything currently available. I know first hand, because I serviced 12 of these units years ago. These projectors were used throughout the Spaceship Earth pavilion at Epcot Center. The projectors were run 24/7 and only turned off for lamp changes! When every other type of projector would fail, for one reason or another, these would continue to run. LCD projectors would typically last for 12-18 months before a component failure. The LT100's however, have an incredible service life. What would typically happen, the color wheel motor would start making noise after 25,000 hours of operation and not completely fail until after another 10,000 hours! The last unit running logged over 55,000 hours of continual operation!

You can always tell an LCD projector that has a 1000 hours on it. The whites have shifted to a yellow-green tint and the colors are no longer accurate. So it became appearant to us that DLP was the better technology. With DLP there will never be a color shift, the whites will always be pure white and the colors will always be true. This unit, when paired with a high quality DVD player, using component imputs or S-Video, is capable of putting out a remarkably sharp picture.

I have been using an LT100 projector with a Panasonic DVD-RV20 player in my home theatre for the past three years. It's hard to believe it's 480i, even without upconversion, I'm amazed at the quality of the picture.
